An ideal CV

In my opinion an ideal CV does not exist. However, many recruiters who you will talk to may share a few similar tips with you. Without pretending to know it all, let me share a few of mine:
- You will be one out of 100 candidates considered for this role - how will your CV stand out? (And I mean in a professional way).
- You should help the recruiter by providing a very clear paragraph with your objectives/summary of your skills/motivations - sharp thinking is reflected in clear writing.
- FMCG, S&OP, EBIT, CIPD, OGSM, LRP, BM, ABM, CRM, BCP - you really think anyone understands what all of these mean?
- These days recruiters are like robots (or could they be actual robots?), and they will look for key-words in your CV - try CTRL+F "cost controller" on your CV...
- Cover letters - I know for some these are really important.... Well, sorry for disappointing, I would only read those if I like your CV...
Try writing down 5 things you want a future recruiter to think of you (creative? hard-working? initiative-taking? technical expert? reliable?). Now, ask someone to read your CV and to tell you 5 things they thought of the candidate based on what they have read - will those be the same?
Good luck!
